I have a chance to purchase a Bitcoin ATM machine.
It is at my local corner beer store. A start up company installed it and was supposed to pay the owner to lease the space in his store. They never paid and disappeared. He wants to get rid of it...i am intrigued. I could buy this ATM for peanuts, but is it viable? Does anyone have any experience or advice concerning this? Thanks in advance..
Title says it all. I have 15k I’m thinking of investing into BTC is it worth it ? Is it a risky investment ? And yes i am willing to hold on to it for the long run. However, I’m scared what if all governments one day ban all Btc currency?
If you purchased a bitcoin on the day that the latest PKA was released, you would be up over $1,500 today.
Shit's nuts, boys. I'm still debating on getting a couple of bitcoins, and I feel the same way that Kyle does...if it goes to zero, so what, but if it goes to $100k in 2020, I'd be kicking myself for not getting in. What to do?
I can definitely secure a spot in a high traffic area in NYC. I'm shooting for the Times Square area. If I can set something up, would there be an interest? I know that most people who want to purchase/use BTC already know how to get them but I feel like an ATM machine can help bring access to the masses. It's expensive at 5k per unit though. Do you think there is enough people who would want a local, trusted ATM to access bitcoin purchases? Enough to warrant a 5k investment? We speak of BTC being the future but is it viable as a currency now where people will actually insert cash into a machine to get some? Would love to know your thoughts.
ELI5: difference between purchasing a bitcoin and purchasing a future with 1x bitcoin multiplier
Apologies in advance as I'm a complete beginner here. Looking at the CBOE quotes http://cfe.cboe.com/cfe-products/xbt-cboe-bitcoin-futures , the price (last) of XBT/F8 on CBOE is 16920 and the current spot price is 16250. The settlement in the table is 15460 (not sure what this means). Couple questions: Let's assume the final price on the settlement date on 1/17/2018 is 17000.
If I purchase a future, am I putting up 16920 right now or just the initial margin?
How much do I gain if I hold the future until the expiration date?
If I sell the future, is that more or less the same as shorting a bitcoin?
What is the meaning of the settlement column in the table from the link?
[ REQ: ]Reputable site's to purchase a BitCoin using a Visa Vanilla Card?
I trying to locate a site that would allow me to use the Visa Vanilla Card to get the bitcoin directly from the site with the card ONLY.( No Western Union, Money Orders, etc..). I understand that it may/may not be possible. I have been to lo*****tcoin.com and had issue with money transfer. They don't allow online money orders you have to go in the stores and send them. I sent it and they deny it cause its for a Bitcoin and could be a scam. Post your sites you've used and have had success also, the time it took between send money to getting BitCoin. Thanks
Hey /Bitcoin I would like to buy a bitcoin using creditcard/paypal etc right now with the current low price. I am not sure how to go about doing this? I want to use a no risk method for buying it, and I'm from New Zealand if that helps. Any websites you guys could recommend with a good price right now? Also, any suggestions on where/how I should store this bitcoin? Thanks.
Why i finally purchased a bitcoin regardless of all the negative news recently
I've been following bitcoin for years but never went through with the purchase until now. At this point in time, EVERYTHING is speculation, but you cannot deny big things are happening in the bitcoin world. Billionaires and entrepreneurs are investing and are in very early stages of setting up an entire infrastructure surrounding Bitcoin. Yes, while bitcoin can be REPLICATED, as the open source code for it allows, the amount of time/energy/computing power needed to extract these bitcoins is what's giving it value, along with the scarcity of bitcoins. The amount of bitcoins that will ever be mined in the bitcoin network is 21 million, and with the amount of attention its getting in the media and the future potential of adoption, that number is really small. Not to mention a large portion of these bitcoins will be lost/forgotten which will increase the value even more. I've decided to remove all emotional attachment i have with the purchase of my bitcoin. I understand that it will either hit 0 or in time be of value to me, and i completely accept this. All the negative attention the mainstream media is giving bitcoin really boosts my confidence in it. Anyone i even care to associate with knows the mainstream media is full of shit and has no credibility. TLDR - finally purchased a bitcoin during swarms of negative news
The rise of bitcoin and general scarcity of these ATMs makes this an appealing opportunity, and I'm fiddling with the idea of placing one in a local marijuana dispensary. However, the uncertain demand and higher capital investment (near the $10k range when cash ATMs run around $2k) have me a bit weary. Should I get experience with the cash ATM business first? Does anybody have experience with a bitcoin ATM?
I am thinking of purchasing a Bitcoin ATM, but I'm not sure what laws or how to find out what laws there are.
Like I don't even know what kind of laywer would tell me. And even if I found a lawyer and paid him, what if he forgot to tell me something important I had to do, could they seize all my funds etc? Kind of a side story as to why I'm a little paranoid. Things even like having a house handed down to you, you have to know all these things that nobody teaches you. And if you don't know you're supposed to pay homeowners insurance, or house tax, etc they can take and sell your house. Thanks
